Hi Caliber leads the industry in Green Printing

Hi Caliber Signs & Graphics uses the latest Latex printing technology by Hewlett Packard. HP has a complete program to close the circle in recycling large format printing materials. The first step is the recyclable Latex ink that the Designjet L25500 printer uses. These inks are water based, emit no VOCs, exit the printer completely dry and ready to apply or laminate. Most shops use solvent printing technology. These prints have to "outgas" for 24 hours before being laminated and applied. The outgassing is the emmision of the volatile organic compounds contained in the solvents. Employees have to breathe these gasses. Additionally, the print heads, cleaning materials and ink cartriges are also recyclable and HP provides shipping containers and pays shipping to return the materials.  The Designjet L25500 is also Energy Star Compliant.

There are other companies producing recyclable materials as well, but HP closes the loop by having a complete program where Hi Caliber Signs & Graphics can return the materials after they have been used to HP for recycling and HP picks up the tab.
