Wallpaper ...Go Big or Go Home!

Just how big can you print a photograph? Well that depends on a number of factors. St. Bernard Sports in Dallas contacted Hi Caliber Signs to print a photograph for some wallpaper. They had a high resolution photograph that they wanted to blow up to about 43' wide from an original that was about 17" wide. Could we do it?
Well, yes we could, but there were some challenges. First we had to get the original high resolution photo sent to us from Switzerland. Then blowing this thing up 300% still presented some challenges. We used some specialized software that is designed to do just this sort of thing. The other consideration is how close can the viewer get to the image? In our case about 25' is as close as someone can get to view it. This forgives a lot. The human eye is an amazing thing. It tends to smooth out things that it knows are supposed to be smooth.
The bottom line is that we were able to enlarge this photo, print it with excellent results on our HP 25500 Latex printer using HP's wallpaper substrate and then assemble it on a multi level surface. It looks great as you can see.
